Nov. 01, 2018 - Nabaltec AG has formed Nabaltec (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd., with registered office in Shanghai, China. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nabaltec AG. Mr Hank Xue, a longstanding employee at this location, has been appointed managing director and will manage relationships with customers in China.

"This is the logical next step in the expansion of our operations in China. The electric vehicles sector above all, where our boehmite is used for separator films in lithium ion batteries, requires an increased presence in this key market, as well as shorter delivery times, and maintaining in-country warehouses will allow us to meet this need," said Johannes Heckmann, CEO of Nabaltec AG.

With this move, coming after the formation of Nabaltec Asia Pacific K.K. in Japan and the restructuring of the US subsidiaries Nashtec LLC and Naprotec LLC under the umbrella of Nabaltec USA Corporation, Nabaltec AG is sending a clear and distinct message to its customers and business partners that it plans to further strengthen and extend its business relationships in China as well.

With the measures it has taken in recent months, Nabaltec AG has an ideal presence in the geographical regions of greatest importance to the company: Europe, North America and Asia, as well as top-notch access to the Chinese market.
